Vitamin D and Tanning
According to new research, Women with High Vitamin D levels may be up to 70 percent less likely to contract Breast Cancer. Breast cancer is the most common cancer for North American women. There will be 200,000 new cases this year and 45,000 will die.

New study links low levels of Vitamin D to many illnesses
Feb 22: Doctors have known that low levels of vitamin D are linked to certain kinds of cancers as well as to diabetes and asthma, but new research also shows that the vitamin can kill human cancer cells.

Low Vitamin D linked to colon cancer
Jan 22: Low levels of circulating vitamin D are associated with a greater risk of colorectal cancer, European researchers say. A case-control study found that people in the top fifth of vitamin D levels had 40 percent lower risk for colorectal cancer than those in the bottom fifth, according to Mazda Jenab of the International Agency for Research on Cancer in Lyon, France, and colleagues.
Vitamin D shown to cut cancer risk in women
June 8: Building hope for one pill to prevent many cancers, vitamin D cut the risk of several types of cancer by 60 percent overall for older women in the most rigorous study yet.
